Hacking HR’s People & Culture Strategy Institute (PCSI) is becoming a credentialing institute for HR.

With a formal certification development process, governance standards, subject matter expert validation, live remote proctored exams, and a growing portfolio of professional certifications designed specifically for HR and people leaders.

CERTIFICATIONS are NOT learning programs.

Certifications are assessments of competence, grounded in science, governed independently, and designed to actually mean something in the real world. And that’s what we are bringing to you.

The Science Behind Every Certification

Every PCSI certification moves through five formal phases before it ever reaches a candidate.

It starts with research and scoping. Then framework development. Then expert validation, where practicing professionals review the competency framework and confirm it reflects how the work is actually done. Then item development, where assessment questions are built and tested for alignment with the validated framework. Then launch, pilot testing, and ongoing maintenance.

Nothing ships without formal review at every stage. As opposed to other institutions and their HR certifications, our development data is publicly available. Item counts, domain weights, coverage metrics, validation records. All of it. Because transparency is the foundation of how we build these credentials.

The assessment framework for each certification is built through job task analysis. This is what it means to build a credentialing institute that actually serves the profession.

Three Certifications Coming

PCSI-GSAIL: Global Strategic AI Leadership launches June 1, 2026.

PCSI is the first credential in the world designed to validate strategic leadership capability in AI adoption, governance, and workforce transformation for people and culture functions. It covers seven domains: human-centered judgment and AI ethics, strategic AI leadership and workforce value, cross-functional influence and coalition-building, AI capability as organizational infrastructure, workflow redesign and human-to-AI operating models, responsible AI governance and risk, and execution systems and leadership oversight.

PCSI-GSAIL tests what HR leaders are actually responsible for: setting direction, governing AI responsibly, managing risk, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring AI delivers real and sustainable value for their organizations and their people.

The exam is currently in item development. Preparation materials are already live in the Candidate Portal for Premium+ members. Launch is June 1, 2026.

Coming in Q1 2027

  • PCSI-GHRBP: Global HR Business Partner certification is expected in January 2027. This credential will examine the strategic capabilities required for HR Business Partners operating at the intersection of business leadership and workforce strategy. The competency framework is already in development.

  • PCSI-GCPO: Global Chief People Officer certification is also expected in January 2027. This credential will focus on governance, strategy, and organizational leadership responsibilities carried by Chief People Officers, one of the most consequential and underserved leadership roles in any organization.

PCSI: The Most Affordable Professional Credentialing in the World for HR Leaders

This matters and we want to say it clearly.

A Hacking HR Premium+ membership is $359 per year. That membership includes one exam attempt for any certification in the PCSI portfolio. Preparation materials, including the Candidate Handbook, Study Guide, and Practice Guide, are included. No separate purchase required. And we will offer training programs as well, all included in the membership.
