Hello Community,

Last Friday marked the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Month.

This year’s theme, “More Good Days, Together,” invites us to reflect on what a “good” day looks like, for ourselves and for the people around us. It also challenges us to use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time, and to shape advocacy, education, and community engagement to make more good days possible for all.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been preparing for the Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health Summit with this message:

Workplace wellbeing is how work is designed and led.

Research shows that 90% of wellbeing is shaped by systems, leadership behaviors, and team dynamics, not individual actions. On the first Day of the summit, the conversations revolved around:

  • Why burnout is a system issue

  • Leadership behaviors that shape mental health every day

  • What organizations must change to make wellbeing sustainable

If you couldn’t attend Day 1, no worries. You can still register for Days 2 and 3. And all the panels are being recorded and will be available on the Hacking HR LAB next Monday!

Inside this Edition:

  • Why workplace stress is invisible (until it’s too late)

  • Case Study: How L&D Teams can create learning content at scale

  • NEW Bootcamps: Build your People Analytics Dashboard and your Entire HR Operating System with Claude

  • The AI Experience Summit is back, but bigger, and LIVE too!

  • NEW Call for Faculty: Become a Faculty Member!

🗞️ In case you missed it: TODAY, we are kicking off the second day of the Workplace Wellbeing and Mental Health Summit (May 5-7, 07:00 - 11:25 AM PT) with a keynote session you don’t want to miss, “We Are not Built for Desk Work,” followed by amazing panel discussions. ▶️ Register here

This event is 100% free to attend, and it’s brought to you by our amazing sponsors and partners: Deep Care and Leading Pathways.

🌿 So what does real-time support for well-being look like?

WORKPLACE WELLNESS

STRESS IS INVISIBLE UNTIL IT’S TOO LATE

Workplace stress doesn’t happen all at once.

It accumulates across hundreds of small moments: a meeting that runs long, dozens of notifications and interruptions that break focus, and a bad posture that goes uncorrected for hours.

By the time employees feel the consequences, the pattern is already months in the making.

But what if we got support before the strain compounds? And by that, we mean guidance in the moment, easily, exactly when the strain begins, and without interrupting work? For example:

  • A reminder to adjust posture after 45 minutes of stillness to prevent back pain

  • A nudge to breathe between back-to-back meetings to avoid tension and headaches.

  • Support that works quietly in the background and surfaces only when it matters.

These small, repeated cues would help employees build healthier habits without asking them to think about them. Because the workday would be the space and the opportunity to do it.

And Deep Care has taken these needs seriously and created just that.

We are having two bootcamps to build things LIVE. Check them out…

UPCOMING BOOTCAMPS

LET’S BUILD THINGS TOGETHER!

Let's Build Your People Analytics Dashboard. Live. Together. In two hours

📅 May 11, 2026  |  8 AM to 10 AM Pacific  |  Live

On May 11, we are running a free, two-hour live BUILD bootcamp to build a real, working people analytics dashboard. Connected to a database. Running on the open internet. The kind that a CHRO could share with the CFO that same afternoon.

We will build it from scratch in front of you using Claude Code, VS Code with Claude, and Codex, all working together as the build stack. A three-layer dashboard, not a one-layer report:

  • Layer 1, the executive view. Six to eight anchor KPIs. Trendline, target, status. The page a CHRO walks into the CFO's office with.

  • Layer 2, the operating view. Drill-downs by function, level, location, tenure, and manager. Where the HRBP actually does the job. Anomaly highlighting and red-flag deviations live here.

  • Layer 3, the investigative view. A natural-language chat panel where you type questions and Claude answers from the underlying data. The marginal cost of asking the next question is zero. This is the layer that justifies the bootcamp's existence.

NEW: Building Your Entire HR Operating System with Claude

June 8 to 12, 2026  |  8 AM to 10 AM Pacific  |  5 Days Live

Five days. Four 2-hour live builds plus a 2-hour Ninja Bonus session. By Friday afternoon, your hiring, onboarding, performance, compensation, policy, and analytics will all work run through one integrated stack you built yourself in your own Claude workspace. This bootcamp is available for Premium and Premium+ members.

Our friends at LearnWorlds interviewed our team and created a case study on the challenges we faced when scaling learning content.

CASE STUDY

HOW TO BUILD L&D CONTENT AT SCALE

Most L&D teams have great content. Few have a workflow that delivers it to everyone who needs it.

  • 59% of CHROs say development is the aspect of the employee experience they struggle with most.

  • Among the challenges they cite are training delivery and formats: fixed schedules, live sessions, and time-zone-dependent attendance.

At Hacking HR, we built a process to transform 40+ live Certificate Programs into on-demand learning programs. It was challenging. We analyzed our needs, set clear standards, found the right infrastructure, and built a process that is frictionless, scalable, and repeatable.

LearnWorlds asked us to share our story, including the challenges we faced, the decisions we made, and the results.  👉 Read our case study here

And as learning scales, so does the need to rethink how AI fits into every HR workflow.
