Available Now! The First Global Capability Framework for HR

After nearly a year of focused work, thousands of conversations, and dozens of working sessions with hundreds of HR leaders and practitioners from around the world, one of the most important contributions we’ve made to the HR profession is now live.

This framework was created to solve a long-standing problem in HR: the lack of a shared, global, universally applicable, precise definition of capability.

The Global HR Capability Framework is a universal reference model for modern HR work. It defines what HR capability actually is by organizing 18 domains, 180 competencies, and three observable proficiency levels per competency into a single, coherent system. It is intentionally stable, tool-agnostic, and globally applicable, so organizations can map roles, learning pathways, and development standards to it without needing to redesign the model every year.

The framework does not prescribe how HR should operate. That is by design. Instead, it establishes the capability boundaries and shared language required to assess, develop, and grow HR professionals with clarity and consistency across roles, regions, and career stages. This framework is the infrastructure for modern HR.

Throughout this year, we will be upgrading everything we do in Hacking HR and make the Global Capability Framework the infrastructure that sits underneath everything we do: from certificate programs to global certifications. You can use it for your organization. Access to it is FREE!

The framework will be governed and reviewed on a structured cycle, with planned updates twice per year, and it will open for community contribution, because a global standard must be shaped by the profession it serves.

This is a foundational moment for HR, and we invite you to explore it today.

Starting on Friday: Strategic AI Leadership in Business

The hardest problems with AI are not technical. They are leadership problems.

Organizations are moving fast with AI, but many leaders are still expected to guide strategy, manage risk, influence adoption and ensure accountability without the frameworks or judgment required to do it well. That gap is exactly why we built this program.

Strategic AI Leadership in Business is a five-week, live Micro-Certificate focused on leading AI as a core business capability.

In this program, you will work on how leaders move from:

  • AI curiosity to AI strategy

  • AI experimentation to execution

  • AI risk to governance and trust

  • AI efficiency to enterprise-wide innovation

You will build the ability to frame AI in business terms, translate strategy into cross-functional execution, assess organizational readiness, design responsible governance and lead transformation with clarity and confidence.

The program starts this Friday, February 13, and runs through March 13, live on Fridays from 8:00–10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. It is included with Hacking HR Premium and Premium+ memberships.

This program also serves as a direct springboard to our upcoming global certification, PCSI-GSAIL (Global Strategic AI Leadership), launching later this year.

If you have been waiting for the right moment to step into AI leadership with intention and credibility, that moment is now.

What You Will Learn

Across five intensive weeks, you will develop the leadership capability to:

  • Frame AI as a business capability

  • Translate AI strategy into cross-functional execution and measurable ROI

  • Assess and build organizational AI readiness across people, culture, data, and systems

  • Establish ethical, accountable, and compliant AI governance frameworks

  • Lead enterprise-wide innovation and strategic transformation powered by AI

Each class is grounded in real-world leadership decisions, using strategic frameworks, applied analysis, and simulation-based thinking that reflect how AI leadership actually works in organizations today .

Who This Program Is For

This program is designed for:

  • HR, people, and business leaders

  • Managers, directors, and senior leaders shaping strategy and execution

  • Transformation, operations, innovation, and AI champions

  • Leaders who want to expand their strategic judgment and critical thinking for the age of AI.

If you are being asked to influence AI adoption without formal authority, align stakeholders across functions, justify investment, manage risk, and still deliver results, then this program was built for you .
